African Hunting Safaris in the Plains & Mountains

Savanna Safari

Introduction

Awarded the Best Guestfarm in 1995 and 1996, and HAN Golden Award in 2003 and 2005, this hunting area consists of 5 farms and three concession areas with a total of 248,000 ha (620,000 acres) just two hours drive north-east of the capital Windhoek. The landscape is typical African savanna dotted with little hills and crossed by dry river beds. In addition to providing fine African safaris, this hunting outfit also offers Big 5 hunts and rare species like sable antelope in north eastern Namibia and Zimbabwe. In total, more than 25 species are on offer for the hunter who is looking for a true African adventure.

What awaits you at this hunting outfit is a family operation in the German tradition, three professional hunters with more than 30 years combined experience, high standards and excellent trophies. High hunting ethics are maintained throughout, and hunting from vehicles, night hunting, hunting over feeding places, at fences or in cages is not practiced.

Accommodation

The hunting lodge boasts 8 luxury guestrooms with en-suite bathrooms. Some rooms have their own living room, fireplace and veranda (deck). Electricity (220V) is provided 24h a day.

A swimming pool, tennis court and billiard are available. Other activities on the farm include horse riding, drives on the farm, night drives, game viewing at a waterhole, camping in the bush, and cattle ranching. Other activities like target shooting, archery, visit to a game park or town are on special request.

Bowhunting

Bowhunters hunt in areas specifically set aside for bowhunting, from hides or tree stands. Guided by professional hunters who know this ancient art of hunting makes these hunts unforgettable. A shooting target is also available for sighting in your bow.
